Learning For Life

As I was reading the quotes, I couldn't stop thinking about how grateful I am for getting a higher education. Obviously the church thinks it is very important to get an education because so much of our tithing money goes toward keeping BYU up and running.

Especially as future educators, life long learning is critical to truly succeed at our careers. Teachers need to teach their students new information and be careful not to get caught in the same, monotonous teaching methods and practices. As we are continuously learning, our lives will be more meaningful and we will be able to teach with more enthusiasm and excitement. We have all had that teacher that uses the same materials she/he did when they first started teaching 100 years ago! How useless and boring. I hope to be a life long learner to benefit my life and the lives of whom I teach.

  2. Oh - I so agree with the comment about "those teachers" that are BORING and never have anything to spice up a class! On the other hand - you remember even more those teachers that made a difference by just a comment or some special lesson! And the way to kick things up a notch - is to continue that learning process!
