Do It, Do It, Done!

Click here to find the link to my PLN task manager and here is my link to LinkedIn.

I learned that there are so many ways to connect to people...it is almost overwhelming! Although, I loved learning about all the opportunities we have through the world wide web. LinkIn is so amazing! Not only can you connect with people but you can connect with people that can hook you up with a job or any type of connection. What a brilliant invention. I also like the task manager I found. It provides a to do list that you will always have anywhere you go...as long as you have the internet!

I implemented these sites into my blog by creating a hyperlink. Creating a hyperlink was the only way I could think of to do this. Maybe someone else has a better idea to share with me?

Learning For Life

As I was reading the quotes, I couldn't stop thinking about how grateful I am for getting a higher education. Obviously the church thinks it is very important to get an education because so much of our tithing money goes toward keeping BYU up and running.

Especially as future educators, life long learning is critical to truly succeed at our careers. Teachers need to teach their students new information and be careful not to get caught in the same, monotonous teaching methods and practices. As we are continuously learning, our lives will be more meaningful and we will be able to teach with more enthusiasm and excitement. We have all had that teacher that uses the same materials she/he did when they first started teaching 100 years ago! How useless and boring. I hope to be a life long learner to benefit my life and the lives of whom I teach.

Projects

I am going to do my projects on the same time table as Ben lined out...

Project #1February 10th
Project #2March 17th
Project #3April 7th

It always seems like things get really busy all at once so hopefully these dates end up working out. I'm excited to see what we are going to do next!

I'm a Blogger!

Creating this blog was the quickest technological set-up. It was so easy! That makes me happy because I typically have a hard time with technology. The only problem I ran into was trying to figure out the silly word you have to type before you get to create your account. I can never figure out what the letters are! Funny.

It is amazing how far technology has come. It has become more simplified yet increasingly complex if that makes any sense at all. I feel like I can handle simple technological tasks that have been simplified for people like me but there is so much more out there that I don't have any clue about and I want to learn more.

I am very excited for this class. I have a great appreciation for technology and how it can and has made life easier. I am excited to learn more about the opportunities it can bring into my life and into the lives of my future students. Knowing how to make a blog in and of itself will be a great tool for the success of the students I will teach. I'm already excited to learn more! Let's get this party started!
